Operation Kitchen Renovation

Tomorrow our new kitchen cabinets are being delivered from Lowes.  Hooray!

We went with an unfinished oak to save money, wow cabinets are expensive!!  But, now we will be sanding, staining and polyurethane them ourselves.  Which, on one hand I am SUPER excited about because I love to do projects such as this but, on the other hand we have our work cut out for us.

First removal of old cabinets, then completing the tiles i put down two years ago that I couldn't get done under the cabinets, then the whole staining, sanding, coating and installation of new cabinets.  After that is done we will be putting on counter tops and the finishing touches.

DH is not looking forward to the demo and install but is a little happy to get to spend some time with his wonderful wife staining and painting the cabinets.  ; )

Stay tuned for pictures of the before and after.  It will truly transform our kitchen and give me TONS of new space.  Lets hope that the PolyShades one step product works as well as they say.

Oooh I can't wait to see the before and afters... feel free to share the before's before the afters are done I can't wait to see what kind of project you are tackling!

We installed pull outs in ours to make more room, and now I've swore I'll never live without them in a home ever. :+)

Good luck and happy staining!
