Carsick...and Feelin' Sick.

I finally got the car back yesterday.  My grandfather and uncle are great mechanics.  They have had it since Sunday trying to get the passenger window fixed.  It seems that the car is dying of old age.

They got the window up and now its stationary.  There is some kind of "piece of wood" holding it in place.  Which is nice because now that its finally gotten hot here in the mountains, no A/C goes really well with only being able to roll one window down.

The speedometer is all the way to the max so everywhere I go I'm pushing 0.  Does that excuse work when trying to get out of a ticket? Sorry Officer...I thought  I was going 0.  My speedometer doesn't work and I've been trying to speed up.  I don't want to get a ticket for going too slow.

Then there is the leaking power steering fluid.  Apparently the "pan" is leaking which would have to be replaced for a mere $500.  Seeing as how I don't have $500 to spend on a "pan" I'll be going to Sam's Club to get a case of power steering fluid to haul around with me.  Does that stuff go bad after reaching 150 degrees?

Speaking of HOT....it is sweltering in my office.  The A/C and heat has never functioned properly in our building in all the years I've worked here. Typically its reversed, you wear your winter clothes in summer and summer clothes in winter.  Not this time.  Its literally between 92-95 right now.  Today I had to wear an undershirt so that is bringing my temperature up at least another degree.  I think I'm going to throw up....

Sorry this post is so negative but again, I can't wait to get home...strip down and stand in front of the airconditioner.  At least I have something to drive home ; )

Wow girl it sounds like you've had a run of good luck lately :o) ha ha j/k I hope power steering is cheap - there is no way I would fix that thing either!
