Snack Taxi

I had the opportunity to try out the Snack Taxi reusable sandwich and snack baggies.

Hubby and I take our lunch to work as many day's as possible to help save money.  Eating out is so expensive!  Even if it's at a fast food restaurant.  Has anyone else noticed they no longer give you ketchup or napkins unless you ask?

A lot of days we end of eating some kind of sandwich or chips, etc.  Usually packed in a Ziploc (or off-brand) baggy.

After trying out the Snack Taxi Sandwich Sacks, I realized what a waste buying those baggies were.

"SnackTAXIs are a great alternative to plastic bags and wraps, especially when just one reusable bag has the potential to eliminate an average of 1000 plastic bags over its lifetime!  SnackTAXIs are lined with coated nylon, and can be machine washed and dried, or simply wiped clean with a damp sponge."

Not only are they reusable and earth friendly but, will last a LONG time not to mention super-cute! They come in all colors, prints and sizes.  You can get Snack Sacks that are perfect for pretzels, chips, crackers and more, or the larger Snack Taxi Sandwich Sacks that will hold a huge sandwich!

Same Sammy in a reusable Snack Taxi (with plenty of room left over for more stuffing's).

Snack Taxi also offers a make your own Taxi kit to design your own storage sacks to show off your personality (or your kids)!

They have a large array of products including reusable napkins, sporks and containers as well as gluten free Snack Taxi's.

I highly recommend these reusable bags for anyone who packs their lunch or their child's.  They are incredible durable, easy to wash out and really cute!

Thanks to Snack Taxi, I have a sandwich size Snack Taxi in the Giraffe Print up for a giveaway.  Just leave me a comment of what you would use your Snack Taxi for and, if you are follower, you can leave two additional comments stating so and get two separate entries in the giveaway (just follow the blog or sign up for RSS feed and leave two additional comments).

This Old House 2012 Remodel Contest

Around this time last year we began our kitchen remodel.  It turned out to be quite a process to say the least.  After a few weeks a lot of hard work and help from family members we transformed our kitchen.

You can see the different stages here:
Stage 1: Demolition
Stage 2: Staining New Cabinets
Stages 3, 4 & 5: Installing New Cabinets, Countertops, etc.

Finally...the finished product!

We are so happy to have our new kitchen and I have so enjoyed the new cabinets that gave us new space as well as functional!  There's no going back to a cabinet under the kitchen sink that was falling in or mold growing on the walls behind them.  Ewww!

I'm was so proud of our new kitchen I entered the "This Old House 2012 Reader Remodel Contest" and my entry was excepted!  I was thrilled by that alone.  I wish I had more pictures to show the true nature of the renovation on their site like I was able to do on the blog.  But, oh well, I'm happy its even listed.  So, please click this link and rate our kitchen "a real winner"!  Sure, it's not as extravagant as some of the kitchens listed, but hey, we're on a budget.  : )

Dale and Thomas Popcorn for Valentines Day!

I can't say enough about Dale and Thomas Popcorn and what a wonderful and generous company they are.  Not to mention that their popcorn is unbelievable!  It is in a class by itself.

I've been very fortunate to get to indulge in several kinds of their tasty kernels which are slathered and drizzled with decadent things such as white chocolate, chocolate chunks, cinnamon, caramel, and peanut butter.  Mmmmm!

I was thrilled to find this package on my doorstep and couldn't wait to tear into it to see what yummy flavors were inside.  Their Valentine's Day Six-Bag Sampler!

It came in this beautiful red box covered in hearts.

It also contains a cute note card that when you order, you can have sent along if you need to have your package shipped to someone or just want to give them a little message.

After sliding the red heart sleeve off, I got to the good stuff. (It even comes equipped with handles so you can carry it around wherever you go.)

Inside is possibly one of the best Valentines Day gifts anyone could receive.  Six packages of deliciousness.  I somehow kept myself from opening every package and wolfing it down like a vacuum cleaner....somehow.  I'm sure it won't be hanging around too long.
The box contained some of my favorite flavors from Dale and Thomas and a few new one's I haven't tried yet but, with a names like Dark Fudge with Praline Almonds, I may have a few new favorites.

I have a feelin' I'll be digging into this when I get home.  : )

Check out their "red hot deals" on the Dale and Thomas site.  They are having some great discounts on some of their gourmet popcorn and you can have it in plenty of time for Valentines Day!  Not to mention all their award winning popcorn is made from the best ingredients as well as gluten free and free of Kosher OU-D.

One of you lucky folks will be able to devour some of this goodness yourself, or give it to a special someone. Just visit the Dale and Thomas site and tell me which of their flavors you want to try.  You can also leave two additional comments if you are a follower!  The winner will be chosen next Tuesday, February 7th via Random.org so you can have it in time to celebrate Valentines Day!
